Does this device charge the battery?
No. It is a battery disconnect switch. It can isolate the main battery circuit during storage, but it does not charge, repair or jump-start a battery.
Will it prevent every possible type of battery drain?
It helps reduce vehicle-related drain by disconnecting the main battery circuit. Natural battery self-discharge, battery age, temperature and battery condition can still affect stored battery life.
Can I disconnect the battery while the engine is running?
No. Never disconnect the battery while the engine is operating. Doing so may damage the alternator or sensitive vehicle electronics.
Will my clock and radio settings be reset?
Possibly. A complete battery disconnection can reset clocks, radio presets, window calibration, alarms and other learned electronic settings. Review your vehicle manual before use.
Can I still use the vehicle alarm while the battery is disconnected?
